Bienvenue

Welcome to the French American School of Rhode Island.

Greetings! We are excited that you decided to discover what makes this learning community so unique in the state of Rhode Island.

When you enroll your child at FASRI, your entire family embarks upon a transformative journey within a close-knit and welcoming community. Everyone is appreciated for their uniqueness and contribution. The level of engagement adds a special touch to the daily life of the school.
Parents and extended family members are part of the fabric of the school. They support and enrich the internationally focused curriculum and we all together contribute actively to the well-being and growth of the students.

The cultural interactions add to the dual lingual program which teaches to understand the world from multiple vantage points. As your child explore content knowledge in all areas in two languages, their brain assimilates complementary ways of thinking and they acquire an expanded learner’s mindset to navigate the ever changing complexity of a global world.

FASRI students are known for their mastery of French and English, and they also distinguish themselves in mathematics, science, and art. Our students are introduced to philosophical concepts at a young age, and the exploration of humanities encourages them to question the world. Their learning experience provides meaningful opportunities to develop their ability to solve problems, and operate as true and empathetic connectors in their communities. This is
why they are valued by the high school of their choice.

Our faculty and staff are committed to providing an inclusive climate which promotes curiosity and creativity, builds self confidence, inner motivation and resilience. Through innovative projects which aim at engaging students in purposeful activities and bring concrete outcomes, students develop inquiry based and collaboration skills, with an eye on positively impacting societies.    Our teachers help each and every child excel academically, develop their character, and grow emotionally, providing individualized attention in partnership with the family.

The American philosopher John Dewey said that “ education is not preparation for life; education is life itself.” By embracing the bilingual philosophy of education as a pillar to a well-rounded education, you are planting in your child the seeds of life-long learning joy, the spirited openness and sheer courage of honoring and standing for all people and living beings on the planet.

We invite you to come learn with us.
