FASRI Language Center Language Courses For Adults

French Beginner Level 1
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to ask and answer questions in the present tense, greet people and use expressions of courtesy. Everyday life topics include school / work life, family and hobbies.

French Beginner Level 2
After completing this course, students should have a wider range of vocabulary. Apart from speaking about their personal life, they should feel comfortable in everyday life situations and students will start expressing themselves in the past (stores, cafes, restaurants, post office...)

French Beginner Level 3
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to converse with greater precision on a wide range of topics including personal and business life and future tenses are introduced.

French Pre-intermediate Level
This course should enable students to converse with greater precision on a wide range of topics including personal / business life. They should be able to express their ideas in the present and in the past and speak about plans for the future.

French Intermediate Level
After completing this course, students should be able to discuss comfortabley a wide range of topics as well as read and write various texts.

French Advanced Level
After this course, students should be able to communicate and express their ideas easily and comfortably. Points of grammar are emphasized as needed.

French for Travelers
The goal of French for Travelers is to prepare your trip to France or other French-speaking countries. Learn how to get around during your trip. The class addresses students who already have some grammatical knowledge of French.

Arabic Beginner Level 1
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to ask and answer questions in the present tense, greet people and use expressions of courtesy. Everyday life topics include school / work life, family and hobbies. You will also be able to write your first words in the Arabic alphabet.

Arabic Beginner Level 2
As a prerequesite, students already know the Arabic alphabet and are able to use expressions of greeting. Upon completion of this course, students have a wider range of vocabulary and feel comfortable conversing in everyday life situations.

A minimum of 5 students is needed to open a class. Students' level is determined by a short placement test if appropriate.
