Rendez-Vous du Vin

An Enormous thank you! to all who came out to the historic Federal Reserve on Saturday, May 3 for FASRI's largest annual fundraiser, the Rendez-vous du Vin. The evening consisted of a wine-tasting, buffet dinner, silent auction, and raffle.

The Highlights

We raised over $28,000 for financial aid and capital improvements! The total attendance was about 260 people There were over 70 items in the silent auction and 5 items in the live auction: together they raised over $12,000!

Bidding was lively in the live auction. The star item of a week in a beautiful, romantic house in St John, USVI (donated by Joseph and Debra George), went for $2,300; a long weekend in a house on Block Island (donated by Mrs. Roberta Thornton) went for $1,050. A membership to Highridge club (donated by the club) in Lincoln sold for $800, Gayle Mandle's Fort' collage (donated by the artist) for $600, and the Renaissance Academy gymnastics birthday party donated by the Academy raised $200. In the silent auction, there was competitive bidding for a week in a lovely condo in Nice donated by Dr. Jacques Susset, which sold for $1,250.

Thank you to everyone who donated an item to the auction! We are grateful too to the companies who advertised in the program book.
