The Elementary level covers the two additional learning cycles of the French curriculum. French and English instruction is as follows:
| Grade 1 | French 80% | English 20% |
| Grades 2 to 5 | French 60% | English 40% |
French literacy, mathematics, science, European history and geography are taught in French. English literacy, American history and geography, health and mathematics are taught in English. Math concepts are introduced in French first and systematically reinforced in English. Music, art and physical education are taught in both French and English. Teachers meet and communicate regularly to coordinate their planning and to discuss students' performances.
Grades 1 and 2 (Cycle 2)
Throughout Cycle 2, students build up the skills introduced during Cycle 1, develop the basic languages of literacy and mathematics, and progressively develop independence. Children leave behind the nurturing and playful setting of the "Maternelle" to become elementary learners. Because of the introduction of new skills and higher academic expectations, grades 1 and 2 are challenging steps in the immersion process.Grades 3, 4 and 5 (Cycle 3)
Throughout cycle 3, students strengthen and acquire skills and master new knowledge, while developing independent study habits and methods.
