Curriculum

Today, all schools face the challenge of providing their students with the skills necessary to be successful in the 21st Century. Dual-language-learners today are already ahead of their peers.  Through FASRI's innovative and enriched curriculum, they naturally develop the necessary skills to succeed.  The structure of the French curriculum develops autonomy and  critical thinking, opens their minds to multiple cultures and the reality of diversity, and teaches them the rewards of resilience.

Our students become eager and competent communicators in English and French and also receive a solid start in Spanish. The social studies curriculum reaches out to the world and to the roots of our civilizations, comparing events, building bridges between continents and historical periods, and developing global perspectives that will prepare our students to be active and engaged citizens. Math, science, art, and music allow them to analyze, solve problems, and develop their creativity with innovation and entrepreneurship.

At FASRI, our French-language program follows the standards of the French National Curriculum, and our English Language Arts program follows the Common Core Standards adopted by 47 states. In the fall of 2012, curriculum mappings that show case FASRI's unique adaptation and interepretation of these two curricula will be available on the website.
